The Word-Laura Bell Bundy“The funny thing is that everyone wants to know when I decided to get into country music.  The truth is, I’ve always wanted that.  Other things just got in the way.”  Laura Bell Bundy, a sassy sweetheart who has just released her debut video on CMT last week, has always planned on be a country music artist.  Considering her down-to-earth personality and outlandish demeanor, it would be erratic to believe that this blonde bombshell could be a new addition to the music industry.

Bundy, most commonly known for her role as Elle Woods on the widely-popular “Legally Blonde, The Musical,” has enjoyed success on Broadway in a number of other productions as well, including “Wicked,” “Hairspray,” and “Ruthless.”  After years of solidifying herself as a standout performer and vocalist, Laura took the opportunity that was given to her to finally fulfill her dream as a country music artist.  “I’m ready,” she exclaims.  “I’ve been ready, and now I’m at a point in my life where I can put 100% into this.  I can’t wait to see where this is going to take me!”
If the lead single is any indication of where her career is going, she will be opening new doors, combining elements of twang, pop, and traditional country into a unique sound that is truly her own.  That tune, “Giddy On Up,” represents the side of Laura Bell Bundy that she wants to first expose to her audience.  It is part of her debut album, which will is actually a two sided release, collectively called ‘Achin’ and Shakin’.’

The disc, is indeed, a two sided collection of music, because, as Laura puts it, I have two sides to my personality.”  TheThe Word-Laura Bell Bundy “Achin” side represents her slow and sultry side, while “Shakin” shows her sassy side.  Without a doubt, from all angles, Laura Bell Bundy’s debut album will display her incredible talent, creativity, and tenacity, something that will undoubtedly lead her to long overdue success in the country music industry.

“Giddy On Up,” Laura Bell Bundy’s lead single, first aired on CMT last Monday.  iTunes has also released a “Giddy On Up” bundle for fans.  Check out www.laurabellbundy.com for all the “Achin’ and Shakin” news and updates.  Now is the time to “Giddy On Up” with Laura Bell Bundy and enjoy the ride as she climbs the country music charts.  Check out our full interview with Laura on the Interviews page right here at SteelTownRock.com!
