As the 2010 American Idol competition reaches its final 10 contestants of the season, country music fans in Pittsburgh may have to wait for the next morning’s news to see who was voted off the show.  Carrie Underwood, the show’s winner in its fourth season, and arguably its most successful artist, brings her highly anticipated ‘Play On’ tour to the Petersen Events Center on April 1, along with special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.

Since her emergence onto the music scene, Underwood has transformed from the girl next door to a country-pop crossover superstar phenomenon.  Her music reaches everyone, from teenaged girls to middle aged men, and you can catch her tunes on every radio station from country to light rock to pop variety.  Her current trek is the first in a couple years, and proves to be the most highly-anticipated gigs of the year.
